I was thinking about the John William Waterhouse painting 'Hylas and the Nymphs', with all the eerily identical girls coaxing Hylas into a pond, and I sort of had it in mind when I did this! However the 'Hylas' character in my picture was a frog, but he spoiled the composition so I painted him out. XP; Painting the water was a fun challenge. I hope you like it.
I like how they still have a bit of a creepy vibe! Most magical beings are always drawn "hot" or at least pretty from a human point of view, to the point that they only have cat ears or a certain skin colour. I must say, I prefer this.
The colours are lovely, natural, while still retaining a comfortable warmth, and your treatment of the lighting in this is impeccable. The posturing of the little frog girl is so charming. I like your choice of a canvas shape, as well.
