I was thinking about the John William Waterhouse painting 'Hylas and the Nymphs', with all the eerily identical girls coaxing Hylas into a pond, and I sort of had it in mind when I did this! However the 'Hylas' character in my picture was a frog, but he spoiled the composition so I painted him out. XP;
Painting the water was a fun challenge. I hope you like it. :)

These gals are so strangely charming. Great color palette (I like that it's a bit warmer than the Waterhouse inspiration), and their stubby fingers and toes are adorable!
